Green Fire Envy

“In the wake of a fatal car crash, the involved take separate paths to overcome their grief. A teenager is forced to become the guardian of his younger sister when the accident claims his parents. The other woman involved loses her daughter and her sanity, and seeks an unlikely, irrational retribution.”

Class of 2007 is currently in pre-production of their feature film, “Green Fire Envy”. Participate FA would like to congratulate the directors of the feature film -- Andrew Bettridge, Jessica Lylton, and Ben Richardson -- on their success thus far, as well as the producers -- Magali Gillon, Catherine Neasbey, and Thomas Tesoriero -- and script writers -- Ryan Somerfield and Aleksei Vanamois.

“Green Fire Envy” is due to premiere on the 19th March 2008. Tickets are now on sale. For bookings, please call 9209 4309.

Fundraising and Sponsorship

Students are currently looking towards companies and small businesses for investments, with hopes to raise funds and make their feature film happen. Students have also been approaching sporting clubs, asking them to donate memorabilia. If you would like to show your support for the students and sponsor the film, you can find more details here**. Students are compiling a list of rewards for sponsors, and that can be viewed here**.

Participate FA would like to thank the Cummings family for their support and hard work in making our James Bond themed “007 Fundraising Night” possible. The event was amazing and gave us a huge leg-up in the game.

Participate Wake-A-Thon!

In an attempt to raise funds for “Green Fire Envy”, Participate FA students will be holding a Wake-A-Thon on the 14th September. The class of 2007 will stay in a room for 24 hours and will not be allowed to sleep. If you wish to sponsor a student to not sleep, contact Dana Newell on 9209 4309, or email HYPERLINK "mailto:Tom@partycp8.com" Tom@partycp8.com

Busy bees!

On top of fundraising, pre-production, and sleep deprivation, Participate FA students have been busy doing what they do best -- making short films. Behind-the-scenes segments are currently being filmed, and students are hard at work, preparing for upcoming auditions that could decide the fate of the class. Keep an eye out for behind-the-scenes footage as they will soon appear on the web.

With the script of “Green Fire Envy” close to completion for production on October, writers are firing away at press releases, and press kits are in the process of being made. Stay tuned for more updates!
